Practical Self-Defense (In-person) April 10, NYC

This workshop is for Women, Trans and Non-binary folx of Asian descent

Monica Liu (she/her) is a Chinatown resident with 14 years of experience in Muay Thai and Pekiti-Tirsia Kali, a combat-oriented fighting system originating from the Philippines. This workshop will cover basic personal safety principles, an accessible overview of considerations for choosing a self-defense weapon, as well as application of practical empty hand and self-defense weapon techniques.

Please note there is no elevator, it is a 6 floor walk up

COVID SAFETY - We will be using a well-ventilated open space, with lots of windows. Masks will be required. Surgical masks, hand sanitizer and gloves provided. 

No experience necessary. Please come in comfortable clothes and shoes

You will be required to sign a safety and consent waiver.
