Community

It has always been important to me to build community around my work. Making spaces for women of color and being inclusive is vital to our well being as individuals and in our relationships with each other and the world around us. When we make the intention to show up for one another we can only win. Let’s build strong relationships so that we can help each other in whatever it is we are working on. These events are meant for you to show up empowered, as a healer and to be able to freely ask for what you need.

WOC Monthly Healing Circle

Dear WOC,

Whenever I am in the presence of WOC in a space created for WOC, I am able to release an energetic sigh of relief. I meet so many of us that seem to share this, and to find comfort in simply connecting with one another. But such experiences are few and far between.

Our collective strength and resilience as WOC is extremely healing, and I want to hold space for that. That’s why I’ve created the WOC Healing Circle. Once a month, let's get together and check in and check on each other, unpack our daily lives in a safe space meant for sharing and healing with one another. This is a place where you can feel free to speak about your stuff...or not. After checking in, we will sit quietly as we receive ear acupuncture and intentionally create a collective healing among our stories. When we are in each other’s presence with the intention of healing one another, it only makes the treatment more powerful.

Will you join me?

Emily Siy , L.Ac.

 Please read below:

  • During this healing circle you will receive ear (auricular) acupuncture while seated among a small group. This treatment is intended for reducing stress and anxiety, allowing your nervous system to calm down to create a better environment for healing and maintaining general health.

  • Regular and consistent treatments are highly recommended. Ear acupuncture is extremely effective for calming the nervous system into a state of repair and healing.

Each session has room for 5 womxn. Please be firm in your RSVP and be sure to include your first and last name when you reserve your seat. Payment is also required to hold your seat in the event.

Things to keep in mind:

  • If it is your first time receiving acupuncture or you tend to get dizzy or feel light-headed, please be sure to have eaten beforehand. I suggest bringing a light snack and advise you not to come on an empty stomach.

  • You must remain seated during the acupuncture, you will be in a chair. Please make sure that this will be comfortable for you before signing up.

  • This treatment does not require any special clothing as the acupuncture treatment is applied only in your ears. Just make sure I can have access to your ears by pinning or moving hair out of the way. Most earrings do not typically interfere.

  • Many people like to attend with a friend! That’s awesome! I really encourage this. However, since each circle holds space for 5 participants, please make sure you sign up in advance and only sign up if you are sure you can attend.

In order to serve everyone better, please allow 24 hrs when cancelling your seat in the event. Any cancellation after 24 hrs will be subject to charge.
