SELF, COMMUNITY, NATION: Harm Reduction in East Asian Medicine June 27 (Online)

Join us for another "Self Community Nation" event as we work together to better understand (racialized) harm + harm reduction within East Asian Medicine.

The acupuncture field in the US is built on orientalist policies that cause harm to the Asian community (and likely others). Dr. Tamsin Lee, Dr. Emily Siy and Dr. Paige Yang will be facilitating an explorative workshop on harm reduction. Learn through interactive case studies on how to identify (racial) harm and how to reduce harm in our practices.

This workshop is for Acupuncturists, acupuncture students and admins and other East Asian Medical practitioners/providers. Participants will be given the opportunity to discuss in small break-out rooms, followed by sharing how to integrate the case study lessons into self, community, and nation moving forward. Please sign up on Eventbrite.

BIPOC attendees will be given the option to be placed in BIPOC only break out rooms. Please see "Add-ons" under ticket sales.

*Event will be recorded, but exclude the break-out room discussions*

Percentage of tickets sales will go towards Influential Point's scholarship award for BIPOC acupuncture students.
