Period Club
Period Club is a safe place for menstruators to come together and discuss their periods and cycles in a positive way. You will learn a bit about GYN history in western medicine, learn more about what period flow, blood and length could mean, PMS symptoms and vaginal steaming self care. A short vaginal steam is included in this workshop so please be prepared.
A normal healthy period according to Chinese Medicine comes with 1-2 days of mild PMS, occurs on a 28-30 day cycle and lasts for 4 days of fresh red blood. Deviations from this standard indicate a period imbalance.
Proper period care is important in maintaining a normal, healthy cycle which includes keeping the body warm, eating well and resting when your body needs it.
Not appropriate for those who are pregnant, on your period so please check your period tracking app before signing up! Please bring socks, a flowy skirt or sheet/large towel and reuseable water bottle. You will be asked to fill out an intake form before attending. Space is limited and sign up will be closed when the class is full or 3 days before the workshop.
